Our Story
Herbs have a way of enchanting one’s mind, body and soul. The earliest memories are of enchantment - with flowers, with herbs, with botanicals. Right from younger days, there was a fascination and a deep inner knowing that herbs are good. They do good. Looking at them, touching them, inhaling their beautiful fragrance felt good. Just holding these wondrous flowers and petals and greens felt good.
The almost primal inner-knowing that the gentle herbs healed the mind, body and soul lingered on under the veneer of ‘normal’ 9 to 5 life of adulthood as well. However, like everything in Nature, the real germination of this childhood fascination for herbs in its truest sense, came half a lifetime later, while trying to cope with a personal loss.
Himalayan Herbiary was born of a personal experience.
When nothing helped in quieting the overwhelm, the gentle herbs, Nature's wondrous healers, called out, took over and slowly, gently and surely began the healing process at the very core. The soothing, embalming influence and the holistic healing brought upon by these wonderful herbs, humbled the mind, body and soul and ignited the imagination - of wanting to share the goodness and wellness with one and all.
And so it happened, on a quiet August night, the idea of Himalayan Herbiary sprouted in the fertile imagination of the mind and climbed the wall of dedication and has grown steadily ever since, leaf by leaf, tendril by tender tendril.

It is said plants have a way of communicating with us. Nothing could be truer. It is the herbs which decided to come forth to us. It is the herbs which chose us. And it is the herbs which guide us and work their way into the blends. Herbs have a magical way of communicating. These gentle giants reveal their goodness in the quietest of ways and guide us to their holistic benefits. All we need do is surrender to the wisdom of these gentle herbs from the sacred mountains, and listen.
